Chair-Based Yoga Classes

On Thursdays from 1:30 – 2:30 Dixon Community are running friendly, chair-based yoga classes that are suitable for all abilities and complete beginners. There’s no need to be a member of Dixon Community. Cost: £3. staff will check people’s temperature and ask participants to sign a register on arrival. Men’s Climbing Club

YCSA are running a 6-week course of instructed ropes climbing for BME men aged 16-25 who are at risk of homelessness or at risk of offending, or those who are seeking asylum or have refugee status. Sessions are weekly from 4:30-6pm every Thursday from 10th February – 17th March at the Prop Store in Maryhill. To refer, contact Rachel on or 07566806166. 

Create from Clay 

YCSA are running a 10-week ceramics programme for BME young women and non-binary people aged 16-25 who are seeking asylum, refugees, or at risk of homelessness or offending. Sessions are on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:30pm, starting February 8th, at the YCSA office: 48 Darnley Street, Glasgow, G41 2SE. Refer young people by January 28th to Rachel via or 07566806166. 

Repair Sessions (Repair Café Glasgow)

Sandyford Clinic – sexual health service 

Sandyford Clinic is the specialist sexual health service for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. They provide a range of sexual and reproductive health services. When you attend any Sandyford service you can expect to be listened to without being judged and for your treatment and care to be sensitive and confidential. Covid-19 Booster Vaccinations

All 30-39 year olds can now book their appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine booster. Book your appointment online here or call the national vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013. The booking portal will be made available to 18-29 year olds later in the week.

Lifelink wellbeing classes

Lifelink are offering online wellbeing sessions to anyone with a Glasgow postcode. The 2-hour classes are delivered via video to the group by experienced Lifelink facilitators. They cover life skills aimed at helping you to lead a fulfilling and productive life. You can register directly for these classes without the need for any pre-assessment or discussion. Free mental health support in Glasgow Southside

Wellbeing Services South Glasgow offer mental health support to residents of Glasgow’s Southside. They share self-help resources and online courses on their website. Anyone with a G.P. in the Southside of Glasgow can be referred for treatment. This can be done online or by phoning 0141 232 2555. Written referrals from G.P.’s, CMHT’s and external/internal agencies are also accepted. 

South Community Recovery Network

South Community Recovery Network is hosting a number of addiction recovery activities and initiatives across the city, including a Southside-based programme. Coding Courses with Glasgow Life

Glasgow Code Learning offers fully funded, accredited digital courses in partnership with Glasgow Clyde College and Skills Development Scotland. All courses are 6 – 12 weeks in duration, and laptops are available for loan. Our next intake for all Developer courses will be on 24th January. The next Pro intake is 7th March. Contact:

Women’s Fund for Scotland – Foundation Scotland

Applications for The Women’s Fund are now open. Grants up to £5,000 are available for projects that support women’s development, self-sufficiency and social and economic equality. The deadline for the fund is 10th January and you can find out more hereC

Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund

A new Glasgow-wide fund is providing small grants of up to £10,000 for projects that improve mental wellbeing in the city. Grass roots community groups and third sector organisations can apply for funds to deliver activities and programmes to people to reconnect and revitalise communities building on examples of good practice which have emerged throughout the pandemic. Funding for community projects focused on children & families

The Tesco Community Grants fund is open for applications and will provide grants of up to £1500 to support projects focused on children and families. The scheme is open to registered charities and not-for-profit organisations. Rolling Deadline.
