Free Food Hygiene (REHISS) Course

17th – 18th June 2021, 09:30-13:00, online

Glasgow Clyde College and Glasgow Life are delivering a free to access REHISS Food Hygiene course online on the 17th – 18th June 2021, 09:30-13:00. Participants must be Glasgow residents and over 16 years old to take part. They must also attend both days to complete their qualification.

Food Train Volunteers

We have a variety of roles depending on where you live and what part of Food Train you want to volunteer with. By volunteering for us you can utilise your own skills and experience to help make a difference in your local community.

  • understanding English at a strong intermediate level or above 
  • writing well in your language

Drop in for your COVID Vaccination

NHSGGC drop-in vaccinations are available at Glasgow Central Mosque on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th June from 9:00am – 6:00pm.

If you are 40 years old or over and have not yet had your first dose of vaccine or you have waited more than 8 weeks for your second dose of AstraZeneca (in any age group) then you can drop in for your COVID vaccination.

We will be operating on a first come first served basis and there will be a set capacity each day. Glasgow Central Mosque, 1 Mosque Avenue, G5 9TA

Hardship Fund for tenants of GhHA

G42 Pop-Ups Project – Community Market

Dana and her group would like to propose a pop-up community market to help strengthen connections between different communities of Govanhill, support local makers and build awareness for the potential of underused parts of the neighbourhood where the market will take place.

Govanhill Open Museum

Govanhill Open Museum, a new community-led heritage project, will bring local memories out to our neighbourhood’s streets and make heritage an inherent part of our residents’ everyday lives.

There are two ways to get involved: 

  •  join one of our upcoming focus groups to meet other people and trade fond local memories
  •  fill in the survey that we are launching soon in collaboration with local partners
