FONDS: Objects Speak Louder Than Words {Share an object that means something special to you}

Greater Govanhill and partners invite you to contribute to their project as part of Scotland’s Year of Stories!

If you’d like to take part, complete this form by 5pm on 24 June

Photography by Morwenna Kearsley

Is there an object that means something special to you? It can be something that reminds you of growing up, your family, your culture, your traditions. It can be something special like an inherited item of jewellery or something with no monetary value whatsoever like a found pebble. It could be a functional item like a blender or something decorative like a scarf. The only criteria is that it holds a special place in your heart for some reason.

Govanhill residents can bring along their objects to be photographed in the Southside Studios on the 27 and 28 June. Alongside the photograph, we’d like to hear about what makes the object special to you. This can be written down, or spoken and recorded. There is no need to prepare anything in advance if you don’t want to. All participants will receive a quality photographic print of their object.
