New Developments on the site of the Larkhill Bus Depot

Mast Architects are proposing to build  new housing including tenements and terrace houses off Butterbiggins Road in  on behalf of The Link Group and Park Lane. Creative Activities for Under 5s at Govanhill Library 

Enjoy a new free pre-school creative activities programme at Govanhill Library full of creative arts, story-telling, massage and physical activity. Rock’n’ Tots started up Friday the 12th January, and will run every week from 1-2:30pm.

Photography Exhibition By Young Roma of Govanhill Launches Friday 2nd February

The Tramway are hosting an exhibition of new photography by 7 Young Roma from Govanhill. ‘New images, new perspectives, new voices.’ The opening will take place on Friday the 2nd of February which will include an opportunity to meet the photographers, for more information or to register to attend go to the event link here.

The exhibition will run from Saturday the 3rd of February until Sunday the 11th March.

Bike For Good looking for locals to join steering group plus Free Movie Night!

The good folk at Bike For Good are looking for local people, with an interest in cycling to join their steering group. Organisers envisage meeting a few times a year, and refreshments will be provided (although participants are also encouraged to bring food to share!) For more information contact

Open Mic at Milk Cafe : Poets, storytellers and musicians all abilities welcome!

Also on Friday the 2nd of February there will be an open Mic night at Milk cafe, 8 till late! 

New Saturday Morning Walking Club 

The folk at Respite Room, a group set up to highlight and support mental health issues, are organising a new Saturday Morning Walking Club. The walks will start at 10am on Saturday morning at Queens Park main gates, and will last around an hour. Email for more information.
